Season's Greetings & Happy Holidays from HVI

One of the more under-rated blessings of living and working in Upstate New York is that we get to enjoy all 4 seasons of the year. Right now, winter is here with its long, dark nights and cold days, but as the holidays and a New Year approach there is again excitement in the air. For this winter season, HVI wishes you to be safe, to be warm, and to enjoy the holidays as much and as creatively as you can.

HVI Grows Virtual Training & Customer Support Capabilities

As COVID continues to impact so many sectors of the global economy, the word on the tip of everyone’s tongue as we approach 2021 is: Adapt. Here at HVI, that means we had to greatly cut back our travel schedules, for both trade shows and onsite customer support and training. In previous years, we would log tens of thousands of air miles annually, all over the world, and our passports showed it! However, in 2020, travel restrictions have made global and domestic customer face time – well, difficult to say the least.

In response to these unfortunate restrictions, HVI has expanded its Virtual Training & Customer Support offerings for customers across the globe. Using online meeting software, creativity, and a dash of tenacity – our own Dave Boyer (seen here) has been patiently and eagerly walking customers through online training and answering all their questions. Whether it’s how to best size a hipot, cable diagnostics or maybe the finer points of underground cable fault location, Dave’s using his decades of experience and good cheer to help HVI customers the best he can. HVI is pleased to announce a new representation and sales distribution partnership formed with Madhav Engineers Pvt. Ltd, based out of Mumbai and with multiple branch offices around India. This more formally recognizes and reflects the next stage of a partnership that has been organically growing for a few years now. Founded in 2003, the company specializes in marketing high tech Electrical Test and measuring equipment that are suitable to a range of industries, including: Power Transmission, Distribution and Generation. Since their founding, Madhav Engineers have successfully diversified in some of the fastest growing areas in the Indian Subcontinent. Staff from Madhav Engineers can be seen in the image below, from the Elecrama 2020 exhibition in New Delhi in January. HVI is excited to work with this growing company in an expanding global market.

PFT Series Sales Video Release

To better complement a longer form instructional/operational video, HVI has released a sales video for the PFT Series of AC hipots. The video walks prospective customers through the main features and benefits of the PFT Series. One of HVI’s most popular product lines, they’re used all over the world for the withstand testing of electrical apparatus and safety equipment, from hot sticks and gloves to vacuum interrupters to motors and switchgear.
