The High Voltage, Inc. VLF-140CMF was designed for withstand and diagnostic testing of cable systems up to 110kV. The VLF-140CMF is a higher power alternative to our VLF-12011CMF, capable of testing up to 70,000 feet (21km) of cable. It can be used as a voltage source for tan delta or partial discharge equipment for cable diagnostics. HVI introduced our patented sinewave output VLF technology in 1997 and the VLF-140CMF has been manufactured since 2012. The multi-piece design allows many transportation configurations, cargo trailer, flatbed, custom designs.

The VL-140CMF comes standard with our ADL-2. The ADL-2 module and its software are designed to log VLF test voltages and currents and conveniently generate test reports. The ADL-2 module embedded in the VLF transmits the voltage and current data to the software via an Xbee 802.15.4 wireless link and the software stores the values and displays them on a graph vs. time as well as numerically. The software also calculates VLF frequency and capacitance of the test load.
